The indoor play industry has set up a campaign through trade association the British Association of Leisure Parks Piers and Attractions (BALPPA) to get locations open.

Harnessing the help of various children’s and health organisations, BALPPA is calling for an early reopening of indoor fun attractions. It claims that without early relief, around two-thirds will go bust this year.

Last week it organised a march in London for costume characters from locations across the UK.  Only Northern Ireland, of the four UK countries, has so far committed to a reopening for indoor play – last Friday. Around 20,000 signatures have already been collected in an online petition.
