Having made the trips to IAAPA, ATEI, IAAPI and ASI, which closes today in Las Vegas, Andamiro's Satinder Bhutani told InterGame that as far as he can see, the Indian market is the one with the most promise.

“We had a lot of response to our products at the IAAPI show,” he said, “and there are more and more amusement parks and shopping malls opening up in the territory.

“There may be a temporary squeeze on credit but people in the region seem to be hopeful that the situation will soon begin to improve and there are projects that are still moving forward as there is no reliance on banks for funds.”

Commenting on the market in India, Bhutani added: “India at present is a pretty free market, although there are issues with high tax levels, which can be anything from 35 to 40 per cent.”

Commenting on this week’s ASI, Bhutani said there had been a lot of interest in his three new products, Timing, Fruit Party and Love Party, however people were not willing to commit, another sign of the economic climate.
