Occupying the largest stand at last week's GTI show was the Taiwan industry's major player, IGS.
The company is heavily involved in the gaming industry, but it was its amusements division that was mainly spotlighted in Taipei. IGS develops amusement machines of all kinds, as well as AWPs.
"We do a lot of exporting, particularly to other parts of Asia and the Americas," said the company’s Rick Wu. "We also do well in China." IGS can provide its customers with the full machine or just sell the software so that the customer can make their own games. "We now have more than 800 software versions," said Wu. "And we have over 200 software developers.
At GTI the company was showing a shark racing game for the first time, as well as a new water racing game. "The first day of the show was slow in the morning but got better later on," said Wu. "We are expecting more attendees tomorrow. We have had visitors from all over the world, including the US, Mexico, Russia and Italy."
