As long as UK east coast arcade operators keep turning out for the ECAS show staged annually by UDC, then the company will continue to run the event, said UDC’s Matt Bland at the conclusion of the two-day show.

“We’re pleased with how ECAS has gone this year and plan to return again next year. As long as local operators continue to appreciate our efforts and to turn up the show is worthwhile for everyone involved.”

The show, set up by Jonathan Lauder and his team, was held in Skegness at the Southview Park Hotel.

Said Bland: “With more time to spend with each individual visitor there was plenty of time to chat over a coffee and really dive into what customers are looking for, which games are performing well and the ones they might be having any issues with.

"We’ve been talking about how the year has gone so far and their plans for the summer. We’ve sold games we bought to showcase and delivered them directly so they’re on site ready to be earning right away.”

On view were cranes, redemption, video games, kiddie rides and change machines, as well as the products of third party suppliers including GeWeTe, E-Service and 7’s Above.

Big show-stopper redemption games included Dinosaur Era X-Treme and Rush & Catch, seen in the photograph taken at the show.
