ICE has launched two new arcade games played with balls, Photo Finish Racing and Go Ballistic - both ticket redemption devices which were previewed at the AAMA's distributor gala in late July.

Photo Finish Racing challenges players to roll balls down enclosed lanes and into holes at the opposite end, making their horse sprint, gallop or trot toward the finishing post. The player with the best aim wins the race. It is equipped with a 47ins LCD, which adds a wide and realistic view of the race and combines media effects, letting players listen to race commentary.

Go Ballistic is geared towards young players and challenges them to toss soft balls at an interactive screen. There are five mini games from which to choose, each featuring attention-grabbing themes and a different mission that involves hitting on screen targets.

Joe Coppola of ICE said: "Game trends in coin-op are shifting towards interactive movement-based or sports-themed games that combine video game technology with fitness."
