The new alley roller from US manufacturer ICE, Ice Ball FX, is already proving a strong earner, the company said.

Launched at November’s IAAPA show in Orlando, Florida, Ice Ball FX incorporates multi-coloured and synchronised LED lighting across the whole of the 10ft alley.

“Our development team really outdid themselves with Ice Ball FX,” said vice president of sales Joe Coppola. “They took all of the constructive feedback that we had received over the years and implemented everything that they could, from new coin and ticket door designs using a metal drawer system, a brand new solenoid system, door protectors made out of HDPE to ensure long-term durability, and even designed a sleek acrylic target cover that allows full visibility of the target area while maintaining security.”

The results of the company’s testing of the game have yielded positive results.

“We placed FX in some of the largest FECs in the US and Mexico, in addition to some smaller independents, and the results were the same across the board,” Coppola said. “FX earned more than the other alleys in the location. We also pulled the previous alleys to see if we could increase revenues and FX added gross dollars to every cash box.”
