As its European trade show, EAS, opens in Barcelona, Spain, for its second day today, promoter IAAPA is to move its headquarters to Orlando, in the US state of Florida.

IAAPA to move HQ to Orlando

In a statement issued today, the organisation also committed to holding its giant IAAPA trade show in the Florida resort’s convention centre up to and including 2030.

The organisation’s move will take place next year, from its present location in Alexandria, Virginia. Both the move - and the commitment to the Orlando location for the show - are dependent upon support from the Florida state and from Orange County, where the convention centre is located.

The moves were approved by the association’s board this week, citing the central Florida location as easier for association members to connect with the organisation’s staff when they travel to the region.

The mayor of Orange County, Teresa Jacobs, travelled to Barcelona to meet with the board, answer questions and emphasise the county’s interest in bringing the IAAPA headquarters to Orlando.
