4D technology developer Simuline was the talk of EAS with its scene-stealing stand, complete with demonstrations of its VR X Rider and VRcade.

Just launched, the VR X Rider utilises a VR headset to immerse the user in a virtual environment, supplemented with a six-axis motion platform. The film demonstrated at the show, Before the Sunset, immerses the user in a warzone scenario - this is accomplished by coordinating the action onscreen with the motion of the seats to create a realistic and immersive experience.
The VRcade, also demoed on the stand, is an interactive virtual reality shooting game, of which Simuline is the distributor.
The company’s Chris Koi said: “VR is definitely trending right now. We’re looking to develop the ride’s technology further; there is so much potential.”
