Holovis is expanding with the announcement of new facilities globally, including a software development hub in Kiev, Ukraine, new offices in Manchester, UK, and investing in its existing operation in Orlando, US.

Holovis global expansion

The company has significantly expanded its footprint in Orlando by acquiring a 7,000sq.ft warehouse. The space will be used for building projects and demonstrations, replicating a building the company uses at its UK headquarters when designing attractions for clients in China and the Middle East.

This US expansion has been driven by the company’s growing pipeline of US projects and continuing support of major amusement parks with complex AV design and proprietary software development.

In Kiev, the company has opened a development hub primarily focused on software creation, recruiting locally from a highly specialised talent pool. The team is working on next generation proprietary platforms and tools that will revolutionise collaboration and connectivity of data, places and people spanning across entertainment, virtual manufacturing, advanced engineering and smart city development.

In Manchester, Holovis has joined the team at The Landing in Media City, an established co-working space for the digital creative sectors.

Stuart Hetherington, CEO of Holovis, said: “Manchester is a rapidly growing technology hot spot, over 10,000 technologists made the move from London last year and the city’s digital tech turnover climbed by over four per cent to £3.2bn in 2018. We are continuing to expand and recruit on a global basis for our UK, Orlando, Ukraine and China offices, as we continue to push the boundaries of themed entertainment with world-first solutions and applications of emerging technologies.”
