After 92 years of ownership by the Kerns family, the Manitou Springs Penny Arcade, in Colorado, US, has changed hands.

The arcade

John Wiess, a long-time Manitou resident, has taken over the Colorado, US, arcade.

The Penny Arcade features over 450 coin-operated games and rides for kids of all ages, including skee-ball and redemption games.

Wiess said: “I see myself more as the arcade's caretaker than as its owner.”

The venue will continue to be run by its current general manager, AJ, and its staff of 30 full-time and part-time employees.

Maria Navaratne, who will help lead the arcade’s team, said: “If the weather is fine, more than 2,500 people will visit the Arcade over the upcoming Memorial Day weekend. We will be working to ensure that we are well-prepared.”
