Haichang Ocean Park, which operates a number of theme parks in China, has signed a deal to develop attractions in Saudi Arabia.

A number of FECs, theme parks and water parks are set to be built in a range of cities as part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 project, which plans to attract 100 million visitors to the country by 2030.

Haichang will become the first Chinese-located provider to enter the country, with a flagship development designed to promote ocean conservation.

Qu Cheng, executive director at Haichang, said: “We are honoured to be partnering with the Ministry of Investment on this first-of-its kind landmark development strategy.

“Our goal is to leverage Haichang’s over 20 years' of extensive experiences, coupled with world-renowned IPs and latest technologies available to create entertainment venues, including the first world-class ocean park that offers unparalleled comprehensive guest experiences.
