Greek authorities target illegal gaming machines

Illegal gambling in Greece amounts to approximately €5bn a year, the country’s General Secretary for Transparency Giorgos Sourlas has claimed.

According to local media, Sourlas has proposed a major crack down on illegal gambling operations.

It is estimated that there are 60,000 to 100,000 illegal gaming machines throughout the country.
