Games Media has successfully completed the trial of £1 stakes for SWP games in its UK pub estate.

The company will now roll out the £1-game option to all its sales customers and pub company partners. Games Media’s head of content Peter Swinden said: “We trialled a compendium of six SWP games over a 12 week period and increased the stake from 50p to £1, allowing customers more playtime in the game and therefore a greater chance of winning. From the licensee’s perspective, it not only increases their cashbox revenue but can also potentially keep customers on site for longer.

"We found that the £1-games accounted for more than 30 per cent of all games played during the trial and were among the best performing titles across our entire content suite. In the first four weeks alone we saw cashbox revenues increase by 10 per cent. Due to the success of the trial we will be rolling out the £1-stake option to all our customer sites with SWP terminals.”
