Amusement arcade and FEC operator Funworld, based in Indonesia, has told InterGame of the positives of implementing a coinless system into its locations.

Daniel Satrio Sutiono, of Funworld, said: "The ‘Funcard’ system we have implemented has helped us reduce the number of human errors and fraudulent activity within the locations.

"In Indonesia, trusting employees is one of the main issues we have to be aware of. Using a coin system creates an opportunity for employees to steal and manipulate data and it is difficult to trace fraud once it has happened.

"By using a Funcard system, we have eliminated the opportunity because each and every transaction for POS and game machines are recorded and can be traced back."

Sutiono added that the Funcard system also eliminates the hassle of dropping coins to the cashier and recollecting and counting them afterwards.

"Employees can be more focused on their tasks and customer services and this then assists us in giving more objective and accurate performance appraisals for the staff," he said.
