At the beginning of the year, Austria-based Funworld won the European distribution rights - excluding Belgium, Norway, Spain and the UK - for LAI Games' Stacker game, and within a very short space of time has supplied the original, along with the Stacker Club and Stacker Giant to 14 countries, including Germany, Switzerland, France, Greece, Holland and Montenegro to name a few.
According to the distributor, over 700 games are played per machine on average per week, with the game figures even higher in the Czech Republic and Poland. Cinemas, bowling centres, shopping centres, railway stations and motorway service areas have proven to be ideal locations.
Commenting on the company’s initial success, Funworld’s Josef Ohlinger said: "As the optimal successor to crane machines, Stacker generates excellent profits, which clearly outshine the revenue from classic crane machines, as the balance sheet of our own set-up in Austria shows, among other evidence. Stacker is a must have for every location and has major market potential throughout Europe."
In other company news, Funworld has introduced a 2.1 Plus Kit for Photo Play 2.1 Generation terminal operators, allowing them to easily upgrade the terminals with new games.
According to the manufacturer the performance of the 2.1 Plus Kit is comparable with those of the current Photo Play Pro Generation and scores points when it comes to speed. The games are qualitatively top value and contemporary and worldwide tournaments and online games are also possible through the online networking.
