The 50 Landmark Leisure family entertainment centres across the Gulf Co-operation Council countries of the Middle East are in various stages of re-opening after the Covid-19 lockdown.

Fun City

But with Eid weekend coming up this Thursday and Friday, many of the Fun City locations in Dubai will be open for business.

The company’s other brands, including Fun Block with its accent on physical activity such as climbing walls and trampolines will also open wherever permitted.

During the lockdown, says Landmark, it kept in touch with its regular customers, helping them devise fun activities for their families at home and gaining feedback on what customers wanted when the business resumed

“With no manual for uncertain times, Fun City used the time to embrace kid’s current actions and adapt to it,” said the company. “As kids need special care, taking universal precautionary measures wasn’t enough. Fun City’s focus was to how best to safeguard the wellbeing and build the confidence of parents by putting the most innovative and enhanced Safety measures in place.”

Mandatory health screening through temperature checks, safe distancing and masks, are all part of the protocol and the company has now dispensed with paper tickets. It now uses e-tickets that may be loaded directly into the players’ power cards and redeemed at the redemption counter.

Each Fun City has been fumigated and deep sanitation has taken place, says Landmark, and there is a protocol in place to ensure that it is repeated daily. Hand sanitisers have been installed and there is staggered boarding on rides. Players are also encouraged to load their power card online.

The company has also reintroduced its popular Fun Day Monday concession with special deals on games and rides.
