Outdoor adventure activity company Zip World has announced former Merlin Entertainment president Adrian Jones as its CEO.
Jones has 30 years' of experience in the attractions industry, and played a key role in the expansion of Merlin across the US from 2007-2019.
The appointment occurs as Wales-based Zip World plans significant expansion, and the company will draw on Jones' expertise across "marketing, sales and strategic partnerships", reports News From Wales.
Zip World is behind Bethesda's Velocity 2 attraction in north Wales, which holds the record for the world's fastest zip line at a 100mph. The company is responsible for 22 other attractions across the UK to date.
“I am extremely excited about the opportunity to be joining the Zip World team at such a pivotal time in the company’s existence", said Jones. He added that taking up the position with the company was a "once in a lifetime opportunity I simply could not pass up.”
