In order to provide some light relief and escapism from the ordeal of the recent Hurricane Ian, Gator Mike's Fun Park will be offering free mini-golf at weekends for the rest of this month, reports News-Press.

Owner Chris Scuderi said that "the community needs something to feel good about" as his reason behind the move. While the mini-golf park does not yet have electricity due to consequences of the hurricane, Scuderi estimates that the park will remain closed during weekdays for several weeks.

The park's new Dinosaur Falls mini-golf course is currently being constructed, due to open in December. Scuderi has also stated that none of Gator Mike's video games were damaged.
