The flagship GameWorks arcade and restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip is set to close.

Around 25 employees are to be made redundant while another 25 are expected to relocate to a new GameWorks location in Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Strip store opened 15 years ago and has been one of GameWorks' most prominent locations ever since. However, high rents and weak customer traffic has forced its new owners to look for alternative locations in Las Vegas, appealing more to local customers.
“The old arcade concept has really died because of console gaming in the home,” GameWorks marketing director Mark Wiley told national press.
It is thought the store could close as early as next month.
