This year's IAPPA show proved very successful for first-time exhibitors such as Zhongshan Star Amusement Equipment and Game Art.

Zhongshan Star Amusement Equipment made some solid deals concerning its Seeking Treasure skill game, which is currently attracting a lot of attention in Europe, Russia, India and the US.

Having been on test for around six months, Seeking Treasure is a skill shooting game that uses a gun that works with a mechanical rota, so avoids the technical issue of compressed air.

The aim of the game is for the player to shoot at the shark targets, against the clock, as they rise up in a random sequence, with each successful hit showing on the scoreboard. There is no limit to the number of shots the player can take and the successful player wins redemption tickets, with the number of tickets doubled if they hit the jackpot.

And for Game Art, its Shrew Mouse Bonus game, which has been tested in Hong Kong’s amusement centres for the past four months and is now ready for western markets, received a serious amount of attention at the show.

This year’s IAPPA Asia was also a first, in some respect, for Zhongshan Golden Horse, as it showcased its redemption machines for the very first time. There were three different types of machines on show, all suitable for five to 12-year-olds and one in particular called Cask has had a lot of interest from Asian, American and Chinese operators and investors.
