Saudi Arabia will be the host to the first theme park centred around the Japanese Dragon Ball series.

Standing at the centre of the park will be a huge dragon roller coaster, reaching 70m in height. The park will have at least 30 themed rides. It will be the first park to be built around the popular Dragon Ball franchise.

According to the Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC), the park will cover over 500,000 sq.m.

QIC and Toei Animation intend the plans to be part of a long-term strategic partnership.

One notable attraction includes a roller coaster designed around Shenron, a wish-granting dragon from the show. Qiddiya is a major entertainment and tourism project currently underway near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital.

There will also be five major hotels, attractions and restaurants. Across the park will be seven themed areas with rides strategically chosen to match.
