A disastrous fire at the iconic Mumbles Pier, at Swansea, Wales, two days ago, destroyed a former night club.
The pier, a major attraction in the Welsh city, is owned by the well-known amusement operators Bollom Family. The fire caused extensive damage but the pier structure and its large amusement arcade, were unscathed.
The third generation of the family to own the pier, Fred and Bert Bollom said that the fire began in what was Cinderella’s night club and spread through a row of buildings on the same side of the complex.
