The Eid holiday in the Middle East has just ended and most FEC operators have reported that they are happy with the business that their venues enjoyed, considering the complications caused by the pandemic.

Average income was about 60 per cent of normal, but considering that most of them only reopened fully a month ago – and with an initial only 10 per cent of normal revenues, it has quickly risen to 30 per cent and now doubled.

Elsewhere in the world, we understand that South American venues remain under a severe lockdown. In Asia, incomes are running at only 30 per cent of pre-pandemic levels. In Europe returns are somewhat better, but the feedback suggests that most operators not already running on cashless will now switch over.
