There are currently as many as 500 shopping malls in various stages of construction in India, according to InterGame sources. Virtually all of them have some form of entertainment as one of their anchor products.
There is a great deal of interest in tenpin bowling and also of both dry and ice skating as principal features of the family entertainment centres which are opening.
Big rides and a wide range of coin-operated products, including table-top sports games, will also feature in the locations.
Most of the construction work will be completed in various stages, but it is expected that as many as 100 malls will open this year.
