The operator of an FEC in a mall in Syracuse, New York, US, is closing the venue down after being fined for breaching Covid-19 regulations.

Apex

Apex Entertainment has closed the Destiny USA venue after three fines – one a day, each of $1,000 – for allegedly failing to comply with Covid-19 protocols.

The company has reported that it was not treated fairly, because the county representatives who inspected the location did not identify themselves and failed to listen to explanations.

One of the complaints said that children were playing arcade games that were not permitted to open in New York under current restrictions, but Apex spokesman, Rob Luzzi, was quoted saying that the games were lit up but not operable. The company plans to appeal.
