UK FEC operator Funstation ran a VIP day for the children’s charity Rays of Sunshine at its Xscape venue in Milton Keynes for a local family and presented a £5,000 cheque that made the total contributed by Bacta members to the charity top £500,000.

Davinia Batley, Rays of Sunshine director of fund-raising, said: “Funstation and Bacta have been loyal supporters for many years and we are incredibly thankful for the work they do in helping us brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families.
“Their generous donations will help us to grant even more magical wishes when they are needed most. We are so grateful to the team at Funstation for giving Daisy-May and her family a VIP day full of fun - a special experience they won’t forget!”
James Miller, managing director at Funstation and a former Bacta national president, confirmed: “Funstation is all about friends and families having fun together.
"By supporting Rays of Sunshine we are reminding people that other families may not be having such a great time, so by working together alongside our customers we can support the magical work of Rays of Sunshine and help other families also have a good time too."
“Over half a million pounds raised is a huge sum and Funstation has been at the forefront of Bacta’s support for the charity,” stated Bacta chief executive John White. “Hosting VIP days contributes to the work of Rays of Sunshine in a way that only the amusement machine sector can.”
