Disney Experiences has announced several new appointments to its executive team as it embarks on ambitious expansion plans of its theme park and cruise line businesses around the world.

Ken Pontock, a 30-year veteran of Disney, will take up the newly-created role of president of The Walt Disney Company major event integration. He will be responsible for developing plans for large events like the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and 250th anniversary of the US.

Thomas Mazloum has been named the new president of Disneyland resort. More than 36,000 cast members will be led by him at the resort’s two theme parks, three hotels and its Downtown Disney district.

Joe Schott has been appointed president of Disney Signature Experiences, a division of Disney Experiences that offers family travel and leisure experiences beyond its parks. Schott has worked at Disney for more than 40 years and since 2019 has led its Shanghai Disney Resort as president and general manager.

Finally, Andrew Bolstein is promoted to president and general manager of Shanghai Disney Resort. In the past he has served in leadership roles at the company’s Hong Kong and Tokyo parks, having now spent nearly 13 years in Shanghai.
