The news that CEO Axel Herr was leaving Bally Wulff Entertainment in Germany to move on to other things took the international market by surprise.
Herr, we can report, is now starting a new position as senior vice-president, Europe, Middle East and Africa for Codemasters, a UK-based computer video games business.
The move sends Herr back to his roots, as he arrived at Bally Wulff from the computer games business.
Herr’s wide territory also includes parts of Asia and the Pacific, which will take in Australia and New Zealand. In effect, he will run all of the Codemasters business outside of North America and Japan.
