The organisers to the main Japanese amusement trade show this week pointed out that they expect an influx of foreign exhibitors and visitors because its government has reduced vaccination requirements.

Japan Event Week

RX Japan Ltd., organiser of the Japan Event Week show – which incorporates the Amusement and Leisure Expo – said yesterday that the country is now opening its borders more broadly from September.

The Japanese government is eliminating the requirement for pre-departure Covid-19 tests for travellers from any country, who have received at least three vaccine doses. The government is also increasing the daily entry caps.

The new policy came into effect yesterday, August 30, and will be reviewed again on September 7.

The exhibition will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight expo centre, June 28-30, 2023. The amusement show is co-habiting with the Live Entertainment Expo and the second eSports Tokyo show.
