The Sears department store building at the Paddock Mall in Ocala has been closed since 2018, and was bought by Tobin Real Estate for US$3.3m, according to the Ocala Star-Banner website.

The 148,857sq.ft space is being marketed as a potential hub of FECs and F&B amenities for the city. Tobin Real Estate are said to be targeting entertainment operators, such as FEC specialists.

The plans are still in the early stages of development, though senior vice president of Tobin Real Estate, Louie Granteed, stated that an entertainment company has expressed interest in installing an indoor trampoline park in the space.
