Fun Factory, a Hawaii-based FEC chain, expanded its presence across the US mainland with a new location in Valencia, California, implementing Embed in its 17th site.

The operation has installed Embed’s system for point of sale, redemption centre management and the cashless operation of games and attractions.

Fun Factory’s executive vice president, Steven Lau, said: “The installation went smoothly without any major obstacles and the job was completed on time for the store opening. In addition to network connection and hardware set-up, the Embed installation team worked closely with our store management staff to ensure that all critical data such as games pricing, merchandise information and promotional set-up were updated and tested before the store opening.”

This is the second location Fun Factory has used the Embed installation service, previously using in-house staff to prep and install the system.

Embed’s director of sales, Matthew Harrison, added: "We are always excited to work on new projects with the Fun Factory team. They are one of Embed's original debit card customers and have always brought their inimitable and enviable Hawaiian style to the business of fun.”

The chain, operating since 1977, has 11 locations in Hawaii alone. Earlier this year, owner EK Fernandez Family Entertainment Group launched a new concept called Rock N’ Fun, a combination Fun Factory and Johnny Rocket’s restaurant.
