Women@Embed from cashless solutions provider Embed is launching a campaign called Women in Action in celebration of International Women's Day, which took place March 8.

The Women In Action campaign centres on the "courage, strength and grit of women", with its podcast series focused around the discussion of women's stories, including everyday experiences, to an exploration of female entrepreneurialism and the key topics faced by women in industry today.
Women in Action: From Guts & Grit to Glory series sees eight inspiring women speak as Women@Embed, sharing their stories with each other. The series chronicles everything from how they grafted to deliver "world-class" services in their roles to advice for women, in business, fitness and life in general.
Cashless business management systems and integrated software solutions for FECs, Embed, prides itself on being a company that is "not only passionate about transforming the business of fun" but also "takes great pride in not only being gender equal, but putting an end to gender inequality in the tech sector. Embed is a company that believes in the value of diversity in its talent pool, and has a shared commitment to gender parity at all levels of the organisation."
Only 17 per cent of Fortune 500 CEOs are women, with only one in four start-ups having a woman on the founding team. Additionally, only three per cent of women cite a technology-based career as their first choice, with access issues such as a lack of resources and information from a young age and role models within the industry said to be partly responsible.
Renee Welsh, CEO of Embed, expressed that: “Some say that closing the gender gap in tech is hard, but not at Embed. It is a testament to our value system, our culture and organisation, who we are and the fact we put people at the centre of everything we do and how we do it. And with a chief executive leadership team made up of 33 per cent women, Embed is proud to be an example of what other companies, large and small, aspire to achieve."
“I am proud to be part of an executive team that is 33 per cent female, led by a strong female CEO. And I’m equally proud that my global Marketing organisation reflects a 57 per cent female gender parity, and this trickles across all teams within the company,” said Sara Paz, CMO of Embed.
