Retail and entertainment developer Emaar, based in the UAE, is the partner in the creation of a new aquarium and underwater zoo in Bahrain, according to local press reports.
The other partner is developer Eagle Hills. Together with Emaar Entertainment they will add the attractions to the Marassi Galleria, an upcoming shopping mall in Bahrain. The Marassi Aquariu and Underwater Zoo will provide an anchor attraction at the Galleria.
It will cover nearly 27,000sq.ft. and hold 360,000 litres of water and 200 species of fish. They will be presented in a design that will encompass a digital tunnel with digital exhibits over four zones.
