EAG Interational chairman martin Burlin revealed that the popular presenter will host two days of extended sessions during the event, which is taking place at ExCel in London on January 22-24.

“Attendees at the last event told us that they felt longer and more in-depth sessions would be advantageous,” he said. “Michael has put together an extended master class focusing on profitable redemption, plus staff training and motivation.”

Getlan is director of enthusiasm for Amusement Consultants, New Roc Entertainment and Smiles Amusement. His company owns and operates amusement centres of all sizes across the US, as well as providing business development and management services to independent operators. Programme titles are:

Including securing the right equipment, how to percentage machines, and basics of equipment operation.

Including choosing and displaying prizes, layout within a location, lighting price labelling, market/gender targeting, categories of prizes and purchasing.

Day 2:

Happy staff make happy guests – a master class in managing and training.

“We’re all fortunate to be working in an industry where the goal is to make people happy,” Getlan said. “I love working with British operators and find them very positive and receptive to new ideas. This mindset is very important as during the sessions we will all have a part to play in creating the right environment for the sharing of knowledge. Anyone operating redemption equipment or responsible for people operating redemption will benefit from attending and it should be great fun.

"It’s not just for the bosses; these sessions work better when staff at all levels attend.”
