DP Leisure is to open a fourth 360 Play family entertainment centre in the UK, this time in Basildon, Essex.

The new centre, which follows sites opened in Milton Keynes, Stevenage and Leicester, will be located at Basildon’s Festival Leisure Park, close to the town centre. The site is currently home to several other leisure businesses, including a cinema, bowling centre and several restaurants.
With opening scheduled for the end of the year, the latest 360 Play venue will cover an area of 24,000sq.ft.
DP Leisure managing director Duncan Phillips claimed the new venue would help to attract more families to the existing leisure park.
“We will once again create a fun, stimulating, engaging and entertaining family play facility based on the successful model we have used at our other centres and I’m sure it will be very popular with families with young children from throughout the Basildon area and further afield,” he said. “We offer a unique product concept that we are continually developing and this latest venture will feature a number of new ideas and elements to further enhance the experience provided to visitors.”
The new FEC will offer both indoor and outdoor areas, including a multi-level play structure, bumper cars, a carousel and the 360 Street creative play zone, the latter a feature of each 360 Play site. This is made up of individual play units, such as a fire station, supermarket, pizza parlour, car garage/body shop and dressing up shop.
An outdoor area, Club 360, will also offer a sand play area, water boats, climbing attractions, water play and outdoor event and space.
