UK industry veteran Ken O’Byrne died last week.

He held a number of senior positions within the amusements industry. He started his career at Music Hire before moving on to Bell Fruit North Central in Warrington.
He then moved on to Pay Master and later to PCM where he successfully built up the company before selling it to Bass. After a time at Associated Leisure, he became the owner of Solney Automatics and then a consultant at Crown.
O’Byrne joined Crown in May 1997 and left in April 2004. He then joined JNC Sales as a consultant in November 2006. He has been a regular at the ATE/EAG exhibitions and many overseas shows.
He leaves wife Elaine and son Andrew.
