Many of the older fraternity in the UK coin machine industry will remember David Young, who had a long career with Ace Coin Equipment in the late 1960s through most of the 1970s and then with JPM in its heyday.
His company, David Young Associates, was a public relations and graphics studio which designed and created the artwork for many of the early advertising for those companies and also built their stands at London’s ATEI trade shows.
David retired at the age of 69 and moved from Cardiff to Tenby in Pembrokeshire, South Wales, with his wife, Christine, who was always a major component of the David Young Associates business.
David died, we understand, from leukaemia last weekend at the age of 79. A strictly family-only funeral was held in Tenby today (Friday) and on July 27 there will be a get-together for industry friends at the Qube Restaurant in The Square, Tenby, from noon.
