Tomorrow night the fate of the Earls Court exhibition centre will be decided. The Hammersmith and Fulham Council will vote on whether the building should be demolished, together with many of the buildings that surround it, in order to build a huge housing complex.
There has been very active opposition to the demolition of the exhibition centre – the home of many amusement and gaming exhibitions over the years. A protest group of local residents have conducted a major campaign to save the building, which they insist is of architectural importance.
