Joseph Cullis will become the new president of Bacta in July following his unopposed election in the current round of appointments at the UK trade association.

His new vice-president will be Jeremy Godden (pictured), also elected unopposed. The rest of the association’s elections are now under way with postal ballots taking place. The new hierarchy will serve for two years.
Joseph Cullis is a Scottish operator at Saltcoats on the Ayrshire coast. His family runs Windmill Leisure there and they have an AGC in Dumfries under Norona Amusements.
Jeremy Godden comes from a famous southern England family of amusement operators, Godden Gaming, with interests in FECs and AGCs.
One of the last tasks for outgoing president John Bollom was to head a delegation that included Cullis and Elizabeth Speed, who chairs the Social Responsibility Committee, in a meeting last week with Gambling Minister Baroness Twycross.
The main reason was to discuss a letter to Bacta from the minister in which she detailed the government’s plans for the implementation of the Gambling White Paper.
Afterwards, president Bollom said that the minister had agreed to pay visits to FECs and AGCs in June.
