Distributor Instance Automatics yesterday issued a warning about the Unis Technology Over the Edge game, as a result of the circulation of brochures for a copy machine that the company saw at the Irish trade show in Dublin last week.
The statement from Instance said: “Over the Edge is a game developed by Unis Technology and carries a patent relating to the concept and gameplay.
“Instance Automatics Ltd, along with our partners Crown Direct, are the authorised distributors of all Unis Technology products in the UK, Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland.
“It has come to our attention that at the recent Irish show, a flyer was being passed around offering Over the Edge and other equipment.
“The Over the Edge in the flyer is a copy/counterfeit machine, unauthorised for sale and in breach of the patent.
“Lawyers have already been instructed on this and legal action will begin towards the original sellers, the UK/Ireland sellers and any operators of this counterfeit machine. Please contact us if you have been offered and actually purchased one of these machines. “
