In England it has been reported that some police forces have been telling newly reopened pubs that reopening rules do not allow customers to play pool.

Now, after pressure from the trade association, BACTA, the relevant ministry has confirmed that it has written to police forces telling them that pool can be played.
The four UK countries move their reopening plans forward at different paces.
Most adult gaming centres and family entertainment centres in England are now open. In Scotland the government there has opened the bulk of the tourism and hospitality industries, including pubs opening on July 15. But bingo halls will not be allowed to open any earlier than July 31. But there is no news on arcades yet.
The same situation exists in Wales, where the government, the Senedd Cymru, still has pubs closed and is so far not yielding to industry pleas to get adult gaming centres and seaside arcades open.
