Canadian cinema operator Cineplex is set to open a new type of entertainment venue in Toronto later this year.
Cineplex Junxion, which will be located in Erin Mills, is set to include state-of-the-art cinema screens utilising UltraAVX technology, alongside an open lobby for events and a stage for live performances. There will also be a number of video game attractions and a virtual reality attraction from VRstudios.
Set in a 45,000sq.ft former Sears store, it will be the second Junxion store, with the first opening in Winnipeg in December 2022.
Cineplex plans a number of similar locations in the future.
