Telshor 12-Allen Theatres in Las Cruces, New Mexico, is to add an entertainment centre.
The cinema will be offering bowling, arcade games, and laser tag to the location as well as a bar with a patio on the top floor/rooftop.
The 31,000sq.ft expansion will feature 16 bowling lanes and there will also be virtual reality games, darts, shuffleboard and pool tables with escape rooms also a possible addition.
The new venue will also include at least two or three party rooms, which will be available for rental.
President of Telshor 12-Allen Theatres, Russell Allen, told Sun-News: “Our industry is moving toward offering not only movies, but creating an experience.
“We’ve put in the recliners, and we obviously have a little hole in our community when it comes to that sort of element. It's exciting to take this step and expand the offerings and entertainment that are available to us and share with the community.”
Telshor 12 will continue to show films and the expansion is expected to be open by the end of the summer of 2024.
Allen Theatres operates cinemas across New Mexico and southern Colorado.
