One of the world’s largest FEC brands is to be transformed into a gameshow for TV.

Chuck E Cheese

Chuck E. Cheese, the pizza and arcade brand that recently announced it was expanding into Australia, will be the basis for a new show where contestants, named “big kids,” will compete in challenges inspired by arcade favourites including roller games, arcade games, claw games and pinball.

Depending on their performance, they will then be awarded tickets, which the top ticket earning duo will be able to exchange for prizes at a larger-than-life redemption counter.

Named Chuck E. Cheese Arcade Heroes, it is being produced in partnership with Magical Elves, which has produced other content such as Top Chef, Brain Games and Nailed It!

Melissa McLeanas, vice president of global licensing, media and branded entertainment development at Chuck E. Cheese, said: “With a legacy spanning over four decades, Chuck E. Cheese has been an integral part of the family experience for both kids and adults across the world.

“We are thrilled to be working with Magical Elves, whose deep expertise in unscripted content make them the perfect partner to capture the wholesome competitive spirit tied to childhood memories and transform the Chuck E. Cheese experience for television.”
