The China International Games and Amusement Fair 2011 was once again successfully held over two venues at the Zhongshan Expo Centre and Dragon World International's game and amusement sourcing platform during November.
Now in its fourth year, the event attracted over 200 exhibitors, with 20 per cent from overseas and an outdoor exhibition area made up 10,000sq.m so that a complete spectrum of products and services could be displayed.
According to official statistics, compared with the 2010 event, trading increased by 18 per cent and approximately 21,000 industry professionals and buyers attended.
There were four main features of the November event. The size of the show increased by 57 per cent and spanned 18,000sq.m; the number of domestic and overseas industry members exhibiting increased by 20 per cent; advanced technologies were aplenty on the show floor and many enterprises debuted their latest R&D developments; as well as this, three levels of the Chinese government attended the event - covering national e-game safety management through an educational programme held by the Guangdong Cultural Industry Promotion Association, which raised some feasible guidelines for the development of the Chinese e-game industry.
The event at the Zhongshan Dragon World International game and amusement sourcing platform, located in Gangkou, Zhongshan City, isaw exhibitors display various products and take part in a series of industry activities.
According to Jun Lin, managing director of DWI, figures show the number of visitors entering the secondary venue, which was split between indoor and outdoor exhibition areas, was three times more than in 2010. The outdoor area consisted of a medium and large scale amusement machine zone, theme park/attraction design zone and landscape design zone. The indoor exhibition area contained five zones for video arcades, carnival machines, equipment for children, online game services and e-game related accessories.
