One of Europe’s largest holiday park operators has signed a deal to bring The Park Playground VR to one of its locations.

Following its introduction at IAAPA Expo Europe, Center Parcs has agreed a deal to install the turnkey VR solution in its Park Hochauserland location.

Set to open October 23, Center Parcs says it will extend the technology to more of its parks in the future.

The Park Playground VR is a one-hour long experience featuring games that include Mask of the Pharaoh, Mission Planet X and Don’t Scream.

The technology is untethered, meaning guests can move around the area unimpeded and covers an area of less than 100sq.m.

Peter Vindevogel, CEO at The Park Playground, said: “We designed The Park VR System as a solution to fulfil customer demands for more immersive entertainment in the easiest and most cost-effective way possible.”

Rude Rerink, product director at Center Parcs Europe, added: “With the introduction of this brand new, family-friendly virtual reality experience we are happy to introduce a new experience in Park Hochsauerland that lets guests experience the unlimited world of VR, while inside our unique, natural parks. Partnering with The Park gives us the confidence that we have a high-end, constantly evolving offer.”
