Belmont Park, a historic seaside amusement park in San Diego nearing its 100th anniversary, has undergone a refurbishment and expansion which includes new attractions.

Steve Thomas, manager of Belmont Park, noted that the park's team has been working hard to enhance the overall experience, with an investment of around US$3m into the park each year.
"Part of that focus has been leaning into San Diego culture," said Thomas, "featuring murals by local artists and even collaborating with Second Chance Beer Company on a rollercoaster-themed 'Coaster Cruisin’ IPA.”
Shipwreck Cove is an upcoming "nautical-themed" coaster for Belmont Park's Mission Beach amusement park, to be accompanied by a play area for younger visitors.
The Belmont Park arcade and Escapology escape rooms were also expanded, with the arcade now standing at 1,600sq.ft and the Escapology escape rooms now five rooms larger, each with their own themes.
An arcade bar is being touted to open next year.
