An isolated Canadian territory has opened a mini-golf attraction to try and drive more tourists to the area.

Wekweètì, located in the Northwest Territories, has built the 18-hole course to attract more people to visit the Tłı̨chǫ community. It is located next to an existing nine-hole golf course and features club rental and a range of challenges for players.
Cabinradio.ca reports that senior administrator Fred Behrens spent three weeks on the project ahead of its opening last month and that a community gathering attracted around 400 people to the course.
