Swenson Park Golf Course in Stockton, California, US, broke ground on the construction of its new expansion this summer.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held to commemorate the beginning of construction of a family fun golf centre at the course, which will feature an 18-hole mini-golf course called Foxtail Fairways and a 12-bay Toptracer driving range.
There will also be a junior golf programme called First Tee, which works with local young people to develop life skills through the game of golf.
Construction will begin on the centre in autumn this year, and the project is expected to be completed in early spring 2025.
Speaking to The Stockton Record, Joseph Smith, general manager of Swenson Park, said: "It's going to be open to everybody all the time. This isn't a private place where only private people can come. Golf has changed a lot, and everybody's welcome all the time. Swenson Park is for all of us, not just the select few of us."
