Brunswick Bowling is racing to help children at the IAAPA Footprints from the Heart Fun Run and Walk on November 19 in Orlando, US, with help from the Future Theme Park Leaders Association.
The event winds through the storybook pathways of Give Kids the World Village, a non-profit resort in Orlando providing week-long, cost-free fantasy vacations to critically ill children and their families.
Brunswick will sponsor members of the FTPLA, a student organisation at the University of Central Florida, as they organise a team for the event. Members of Team Brunswick will solicit donations and participate in the 5k run and 1k walk.
“We’re so grateful to Brunswick for providing us with this opportunity,” said Meghan Milliken, secretary of the FTPLA. “Before the semester began we knew we wanted to support Give Kids the World, but hadn't yet determined how.”
The FTPLA is a student club in UCF’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management and is focused on the study and understanding of the inner workings and operations of the theme park and attractions industry.
“Brunswick is thrilled to connect with students who are enthusiastic about the amusement and attractions industry for such a worthwhile cause,” said Jennifer Waldo, Brunswick marketing manager.
